Distribution of Tree Saplings
Hand in Hand Afghanistan distributed 400 saplings to the households in Abu Talib and Sayed Abad villages of Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh province in order to have a green environment by promoting the culture of tree plantation. The distribution took place in presence of representatives from Balkh Department of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock and the elders of related city district. Each household received one pine tree and instructions on how to take care of it.
HiH Af is implementing the ‘Socio-Economic Empowerment of Women and Men’ project in Shahrak Abu Tallib and ‘Reducing Poverty through Entrepreneurship and Female Empowerment’ project in Sayed Abad area of Mazar-e-Sharif city.
