STAKEHOLDERS ENGAGEMENT AND COORDINATION MEETING

Hand in Hand Afghanistan held coordination and reporting meeting with project stakeholders, community elders, district authorities and projects’ beneficiaries in Balkh province and presented the project progresses, challenges and future plan.

In this event Mr. Mutihullah Mateen, director of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled (DoLSAMD), Ms. Shahla Hadeed, Director of Women’s Affairs (DoWA), Mr. Abdul Saboor Qadery, director of Refugees and Repatriation (DoRR), Eng. Abdul Rauf Qadery, Regional Manager of ACBAR, representatives from Department of Agriculture and Department of Economy, district authorities, returnees and IDPs, community elders and some beneficiaries of relevant projects participated.

In this meeting, HiH Af presented the projects’ progresses and future plans as following:

  1. Socio Economic Empowerment of Women and Men in Chimtal district of Balkh province co-funded by CAFOD and HiH Int.
  2. Creating Future Economic Prospects for Reintegration of Returnees and IDPs in northern and north-eastern regions of Afghanistan through the Layers Poultry Value Chain funded by GIZ.
  3. Village Uplift Programs in Faqir Abad village of Mazar-i-Sharif and Shah Raheem Village of Khulm district, Balkh Province funded by HiH Int.

Mr. Mateen, thanking HiH Af for their presentation and reporting said “we are very happy to be partner with HiH Af, their achievements are contributing to our goals and we have always monitored their activities”.

Ms. Hadeed, addressing the beneficiaries said “you are very fortunate for receiving these supports, you are responsible to be committed to your work and share the knowledge with others”, she added “we have always witnessed HiH Af organizing such events, which not only shows the successful implementation of projects, but also indicates accountability and transparency of the organization to the stakeholders”.

Mr. Qadery addressing the participants said “the targeted returnees and IDPs are now having sustainable micro-enterprises; it is improving lives of people who are the most vulnerable and in need. HiH Af with a unique approach is creating hope for returnees and IDPs”.

At the side of this event, chief quests handed over enterprise startup kits to 26 women who will be starting their vocational skills training.

Participants and stakeholders acknowledging HiH Af’s projects, promised to further extend their support and HiH Af’s Program Manager, Dr. Ahmad Kamran Hekmati, thanking the participants promised to keep all the project stakeholders engaged as usual.
