Hand in Hand Afghanistan continues its efforts to increase awareness on personal hygiene to prevent the outbreak of coronavirus. Therefore 850 needy households in Wali Aser, Abu Talib and Sayed Abad villages of Mazar-e- Sharif, Balkh province were trained on ways to ensure their safety.
This training program was conducted by HiH Af trainers who visited each project beneficiary at their homes individually to avoid gathering. The households received hygiene pack including soap, disinfectants, spray pumps and gloves and were also trained on the use of these items.

Ghulam Abas, the community leader in Shahrak Sayed Abad, Mazar-e-Sharif says, “I am thankful to HiH Af on behalf of all the community for facilitating useful awareness program and distributing hygiene package for each family. Even in this difficult situation you have not forgotten us and the awareness posters that are pasted in visible places are very helpful for people.”
