Sustainable Livelihood Program – Lessons Learned Dissemination and Exhibition
On November 12, 2014 HiH Af held a Lessons Learned Dissemination Ceremony for the project Sustainable Livelihood Programme (SLP) in three districts of Balkh Province. The project had started in December 2010 to mobilize and train 7,500 members in three districts (Sholgara, Kaldar and Marmul) of Balkh Province. The project was funded by Swedish International Development Agency (Sida) for the first two years, the continuation of the project was funded by Hand in Hand International and Hand in Hand Sweden from Aug 2013 to December 2014. The ceremony was concluded with an exhibition of products made by Hand in Hand Afghanistan beneficiaries.
Under this project Hand in Hand Afghanistan mobilized 7,200 members with 52% female participation and some 5,140 micro-enterprises have been established which has resulted in creation of more than 7,300 jobs.
